They are typically larger than side cases and can hold more items, including helmets or larger pieces of luggage. Top cases, also known as trunk cases, are similar to side cases but are located on the rear of the motorcycle. Some motorcycle manufacturers offer side cases as an optional accessory for their models. Side cases are a popular option for touring or commuting as they can be lockable and waterproof, ensuring the safety and protection of the rider’s belongings. They are available in different sizes and shapes and can hold a range of items such as clothing, electronics, or camping gear. Side cases, also known as panniers, are hard-shell cases attached to the sides of the motorcycle. This type of storage is most commonly found on scooters and smaller motorcycles. Accessing the storage area requires unlocking and lifting the seat cushion, which can be a bit inconvenient. It is typically small in size and can only hold items such as documents, gloves, or a small tool kit. Under-seat storage is a built-in compartment located under the seat cushion of the motorcycle. To help illustrate this further, here is a more detailed chart outlining some common types of storage compartments found on motorcycles: Type of Storage Compartment Some motorcycles have built-in storage compartments, while others require aftermarket options to carry items. Whether a motorcycle has a storage compartment or not depends on several factors, including the model, make, and style of the motorcycle. This can make carrying luggage, equipment, or personal items a challenge, especially for longer trips. However, one limitation of riding a motorcycle is the lack of storage space compared to cars and trucks. Motorcycles are popular for their versatility, maneuverability, and speed. Do Motorcycles Have Storage Compartments? The amount of storage space also varies depending on the size and style of the motorcycle. However, many motorcycles do not have built-in storage compartments and riders may need to use aftermarket options such as tank bags, saddlebags, or tail bags to carry their belongings. Some motorcycles have storage compartments such as under-seat storage, side cases, or top cases. It depends on the model of the motorcycle. Aftermarket Storage Options for Motorcycles.Factors to Consider When Choosing Motorcycle Storage.Do Motorcycles Have Storage Compartments?.My next boat will definitely not be one from Tracker. There are companies like Cisco Fishing Systems that provide exceptional customer service and others like Tracker that have a take it or leave it attitude that is very obvious. They did sell me 3 sets of keys and none fit either of the two locks. I have a boat that was manufactured only 4 years ago and only has two different keys and the two dealers could not find the key numbers for either lock. I have to think the people at Tracker go out of their way to provide the lowest possible level of customer service. For anyone that might want to know that the Tracker SKU for the keys it is 153694 and the SKU for the latches is 153883. It is the type of key that no hardware store is going to be able to have a blank and be able to replicate. The key that comes with the latch does have a number on it of 134. The new rod locker locking latches have no identification as to the manufacturer and no part number on them either. I have bought new ignition key assemblies and various locks and they always included the keys, but not Tracker. I ended up buying two new locks and then was told by the person at the Tracker dealer that the keys were extra. Nice to know that stupid is still in vogue. With both the local Tracker dealer and the person at Bass Pro I was asked what the number was on the keys that I did not have. I may end up doing this with a piece of 3/16" stainless plate as the plastic latch won't stop a 5-year old from breaking into it. Replacing the lock so I can lock the compartment will require replacing the entire panel as well. No ID and the latch has a plastic body that is permanently bonded to the door. Gotta love it when some clown makes assumptions that are not warranted by the content of the OP. If the latches had a company or part number on them I would have been able to give it to the dealer and maybe the dealer would have been able to learn what keys were used but that was not the case and that was why I took the time to make the post on this forum.
